The Taiwan Leisure Agriculture Development Association ( under the guidance of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan ) held its fifth annual "Children's Poetry and Painting" competition for elementary school students.

We invite children from public and private primary schools across the country to visit our farm and experience the beauty of nature.

Green World encourages children to submit their work, transforming the lovely plants, animals, and ecological beauty of Green World into beautiful poems and pictures.

There are 240 prizes in total, waiting for you to participate!

Please bring:
　

A4 drawing paper (27.5cm x 39.5cm), lined paper, drawing board, and related drawing and writing tools.

Green World will provide registration forms and writing paper for children to write their applications . Please obtain these from the Green World Visitor Service Center !

The 5th National Leisure Agriculture Children's Poetry and Painting Competition

I. Processing Unit:

Guiding Unit: Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan

Organizer: Taiwan Leisure Agriculture Development Association

Co-organizer: Department of Fine Arts, Taipei National University of the Arts

II. Participants:

Students in grades 1-6 of public and private elementary schools nationwide [please fill in your student registration information for the 2012 academic year (August 2012 to July 2013)]

III. Awards:

(a) Number of students to be admitted:

Children's Poetry Category: Based on the grade level of the first semester of the 2012 academic year, the categories are divided into lower grade group (grades 1 and 2), middle grade group (grades 3 and 4), and upper grade group (grades 5 and 6). The top three, best works, and honorable mentions will be selected from each group, for a total of 40 entries, and 120 entries in total across the three groups.

Children's Art Category: Based on the grade level of the first semester of the 2012 academic year, the categories are divided into lower grades (grades 1 and 2), middle grades (grades 3 and 4), and upper grades (grades 5 and 6). The top three, best works, and honorable mentions will be selected from each group, for a total of 40 entries, and 120 entries in total across the three groups.

(II) Awards:

The awards for children's poetry and children's art in the lower, middle, and upper grades are detailed below:

1. First Place (1 person): Scholarship of 15,000 yuan + 1 leisure farm accommodation voucher + 1 certificate.

2. Second place (2 winners): Scholarship of 10,000 yuan + 1 voucher for accommodation at a leisure farm + 1 certificate.

3. 3rd Place (3 winners): Scholarship of 7,000 yuan + 1 voucher for accommodation at a leisure farm + 1 certificate.

4. Selected winners (6): Scholarship of 5,000 yuan + 1 voucher for accommodation at a leisure farm + 1 certificate.

5. Outstanding Works (28): One copy of the portfolio + one certificate.

6. Farm Owner Special Award (Top three and honorable mentions): Receive a special gift carefully selected by the farm owner.

7. Mentor Award: Mentors of the top three winners will receive a certificate, and mentors of the top three winners will also receive a voucher for accommodation at the leisure farm.
