Animal Warmth ( Part 1 ) : The Touching Story of Green World's Pelican Friends

The Green World Ecological Farm in Hsinchu originally had two pelicans, "Jianjian" and "Kangkang," who were very close and inseparable.

Before leaving Green World, visitors always see them walking side by side, looking adorable as they see them off.

It left a deep impression.

Sadly, "Kang Kang" passed away two years ago, and "Jian Jian" lost an important companion.

He seemed very lonely and forlorn, and no longer enjoyed seeing guests off at the lakeside near the entrance as much as before.

She would often walk alone to the administrative center to find the staff, and quietly nestle beside them.

She seemed to be seeking comfort, and the staff felt very sorry for her.

Until last month, a sudden piece of good news arrived: a kind tourist donated the pet he kept at home.

For many years , the pelican "Big Mouth" has been a source of curiosity, with everyone wondering what kind of chemical changes might occur between the two pelicans.

Initially, the two pelicans were not used to the arrival of their new companion and kept a considerable distance between them.

"Jianjian" even bullied the newbie "Dazui" by taking advantage of his seniority.

Gradually, something amazing happened: "Jianjian" began to act like a teacher, guiding those with no wilderness survival experience.

The student, nicknamed "Big Mouth," was taught how to adapt to the environment and routes, how to waterski, and how to fish.

They took care of him, even bringing "Big Mouth" along to the lakeside to see off guests. Throughout this period of growth and learning...

They were getting closer and closer.

Jianjian rarely comes to the administrative center to cuddle anymore, because he has new priorities and goals in life.

- The staff are not quite used to the new friend "Big Mouth" yet, but they are really happy for them;
