Tickets and admission

How much are tickets to Green World Ecological Farm?
Adult admission is NT$480. Concession tickets are NT$400 for senior high and junior high students, visitors aged 65 and over, teachers and partner-company employees. Children aged 3 to 12, or taller than 90cm, pay NT$350. Visitors with a disability certificate and one companion pay NT$240.

Is there a group discount?
Yes. Groups of 30 or more get a discounted rate, but the booking must be made at least three days in advance. Activity packages, teacher rates and contracted group rates cannot be combined with the group discount.

Who gets in free?
Children under 90cm tall or under 3 years old, residents of Beipu Township on the first of each month, residents of Xuejia District, couples and photographers shooting pre-wedding photos by appointment, and Buddhist monks and nuns, Catholic nuns, priests and pastors with certification. Proof of identity is required in each case.

Can I buy tickets online?
Yes, tickets can be booked through the online purchase link on the ticket page. Travel agencies, coach operators and school or community groups should call +886-3-580-1000 in advance.

Can I bring my pet?
No. Personal pets are not allowed in the park, and neither are bicycles, scooters or other ride-on equipment. Green World is an open ecological farm, and these rules protect both the resident animals and visitors.

Can I picnic or barbecue in the park?
No. Cooking, barbecues and camping are not permitted, and tents and drones are not allowed either. Two restaurants are open on site: Sweet Dynasty at Exotic Cuisine, and the Hakka Ancient Restaurant.

Opening hours and activities

What time does Green World open and close?
The park is open daily from 08:30 to 17:30, with flexible extensions on holidays. The ticket office closes at 16:00, so arrive before then.

When are the animal shows?
Animal talks at the Animal Amphitheater run daily at 11:00, 13:30 and 15:00. The alpaca parade is daily at 10:30, 13:00 and 14:30. The pelican feeding show runs at 15:30 on weekends and holidays. Outdoor activities may be cancelled in bad weather.

How long does it take to see the whole park?
The park covers about 75 hectares with 46 attractions. Most visitors spend a full day. Arriving at opening time lets you see the morning alpaca parade and the aviary feeding at 10:30.

Is Green World open in the rain?
Yes, the park stays open. Indoor areas such as the Biodiversity Adventure Area, the butterfly nature classroom and the restaurants are unaffected, but outdoor shows including the alpaca parade and pelican feeding may be cancelled.

When is the best time of year to visit?
Every season has something different. In March the golden trumpet trees (Handroanthus chrysotrichus) come into full bloom across the park. From July to September the nectar plants of butterfly season flower, drawing thousands of milkweed butterflies. Between the Mid-Autumn Festival and early April, ducks and geese from Siberia, along with mandarin ducks and Eurasian teal, winter on Swan Lake. In November and December the bald cypresses turn red and gold and shed their foliage like falling feathers.

Getting here and parking

How do I get to Green World from Taipei?
By car, take National Freeway 1 to the Hsinchu system interchange, join National Freeway 3 to the 90K Zhulin interchange toward Zhudong, then Provincial Highway 3 toward Beipu and turn left at the 79K marker for two kilometres. By public transport, take the high speed rail to Hsinchu station and transfer to the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle at platform 6 by exit 4.

Can I get to Green World by public transport?
Yes. Take the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle from HSR Hsinchu station, Zhubei railway station or Zhudong railway station to the Green World stop at Provincial Highway 3, 79K. From there call +886-3-580-1000 extension 9 for the free shuttle into the park.

Is there parking at Green World?
Yes, there is a car park on site. If you arrive by coach or with a group, call ahead on +886-3-580-1000 so staff can direct you.

How do I get here from Taichung or Kaohsiung?
The simplest route is the high speed rail to Hsinchu station, then the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle. By car, take National Freeway 1 or 3 northbound, leave National Freeway 3 at the 90K Zhulin interchange, follow Provincial Highway 3 toward Beipu and turn left at the 79K marker.
